Our Story

In April 1982, Howard Hoffer and his son Greg opened the doors to Southeastern Appliances and lighting in Austell, Georgia. At the time the Hoffer’s main focus was selling appliance and lighting to apartment communities throughout Atlanta. In January 2010 Southeastern purchased Cowan and Cowan, combining over 50 years of experience under one roof, and changed the name to Southeastern Appliances and More to include garage doors and fireplaces. In October 2017 we moved from the historic downtown area to our current location in Covington, where we renovated the old Sears hometown store.

There’s a reason why Southeastern Appliances has been serving the Atlanta are for over 50 years – it’s customer satisfaction. The moment you step into our store, our committed staff is ready to provide knowledgeable support. Our goal has been to deliver the best brands at the best possible price, while delivering outstanding, friendly, customer service. We will work with you to find a product that fits your needs, budget and lifestyle. Not to mention, you’ll be supporting the local community! Currently we will service the entire 16 counties of Metro Atlanta and we travel to NC, SC, AL and GA for multi-family jobs, apartments and condos.
